Reishi mushroom is a common member of the Ganoderma genus of fungi. Its flat, red-colored, bean-shaped cap and cork-like structure makes it easily recognizable. It is commonly found growing on tree stumps, especially trees that shed their leaves for part of the year. Reishi is found growing in parts of Asia and North America.
